Sustainable Design

At CCE we pride ourselves on been at the cutting edge of sustainable design. We are constantly keeping up to date with current changes in technology in order for us to deliver best value sustainable design solutions for our clients. Our methodology from the start to the finish of our projects is centered around sustainable design. We at CCE know that sustainable design not only means that we are preserving our environment and finite resources for future generations but it also means real financial savings for our clients.

In order for sustainable design to be effective we must be involved at the earliest concept stage of a project. From the outset of our involvement in a project we carefully consider and report on the following sustainable options. Some of these options don’t even have capital cost implications and are automatically incorporated into the design as good practice.

High efficiency heating plant including biomass woodchip and pellet boilers
Building façade, fabric and insulation analyses - part L compliancy
Renewable energy sources - wind / heat pump / biomass / solar/ hydro
Combined heat and power solutions (CHP)
District heating
Daylight and occupancy sensing lighting controls
Low energy lighting solutions including LED
Natural and mixed mode ventilation
Heat recovery and variable speed drive systems
Grey water and rain harvesting systems
Energy management systems
Dynamic building simulation (Out sourced)
